Very large coil winders type NRS-11, NRS-12 and NRS-22 are used to produce large-sized coils on coil formers and engine frames on templates.
The NRS series large coil winders are used to produce large coils on coil formers and motor frames on templates. They can be used to wind coils on suitable coil formers, with or without support from the centers.
These winders allow for winding with or without feed. Depending on the version, they can be equipped with a tailstock and wire guide. NRS winders are operated manually.
NRS-11
Intelligent machine for large-diameter wires
The NRS-11 is a machine designed for the flexibility of mass production and prototype production of large coils. Its unique feature is a fully automated winding template.
Large coils wound on templates or spools using multi-wire winding technology – up to 40 wires simultaneously.
Coils requiring precise wire alignment, each with a diameter of up to 1.5 mm.
Coils up to 1800 mm in diameter and 500 mm in length can be processed.
The machine has a torque of 200 Nm, ensuring process stability at low speeds (approx. 180 rpm).
The template is equipped with electric drives that allow automatic modification of the arm spacing in two axes (X and Y), directly from the program.
This allows for the rapid removal of the finished product or conversion to a different motor frame size.

NRS-12
The NRS-12 is the younger sibling of the NRS-22 design, bringing its uncompromising stiffness and strength capabilities to a more balanced package. Designed for shops that require the powerful torque capabilities of the NRS series but handle medium- to large-scale workpieces where the NRS-22 would be too large.
The NRS-12's primary areas of operation include:
- Power component production: Winding of mains chokes, medium-power transformers, and excitation coils.
- Engine industry: Winding frames for smaller electric motors using specialized templates.
- Working with thick cross-sections: Forming stiff copper wires and multi-stranded wires that require stable tension and high forming forces.
The NRS-12 offers performance-optimized parameters:
- Torque: Using a multi-stage mechanical gearbox, the machine generates a torque of 300–400 Nm, allowing for reliable operation with wire diameters exceeding 3.0 mm.
- Winding Capacity: Designed to handle coils with an outer diameter of up to 1,500 mm and a winding length (centre spacing) of up to 1,500 mm.
- Surgical Precision: Despite its high power, the NRS-12 maintains the highest-in-class wire guide feed resolution of 0.005 mm, ensuring perfect coil alignment even when winding long lengths in layers.
The NRS-12 design incorporates proven NEOTECH solutions:
- Stability: The massive frame, weighing nearly 1 ton, effectively dampens vibrations generated when winding very large, even unbalanced, carcasses. This is crucial for consistent production.
- Safety System: The machine is equipped with a perimeter cable switch (safety cable). It can also be equipped with full mechanical guards (mesh or plexiglass) and light curtains to protect the operator in high-energy zones.
- Control: Known from other NEOTECH machines, it enables simple control and programming, as well as integration with factory databases and barcode readers.
This machine is primarily offered to manufacturers of electrical equipment requiring high torque when winding thick wire.
The NRS-12 is used by repair shops for drive and rotating machinery, for example, those manufacturing or remanufacturing medium-power motors.

NRS-22
The NRS-22 is the most powerful machine in NEOTECH’s offering. Weighing over a ton, this colossus is designed for winding the largest and heaviest motors, transformers, converters, and relays.
NRS-22 is mainly used for winding motor frames on specialized templates, producing low, medium and high voltage and high power transformer windings, and for working with very stiff wires and strands.
- Unrivaled winding capacity: Maximum winding diameter is 1,800 mm, and winding length (centre spacing) reaches 2,000 mm.
- Drive Power: A 4-speed mechanical gearbox generates a powerful torque of 560 Nm.
- Wide range of wires: The machine easily handles copper and aluminum wires up to 5 mm in diameter, steel wires (rods) up to 3 mm in diameter, or stranded wires (e.g., 11x1.5 mm).
